Invitations and Card Stock Paper
I have often wondered why more people do not partake in a print your own invitations scheme. Invitations and cards are really expensive but if you want a good quality one then you need a really good printer. I think that groups of friends or families should get together and buy a good quality printer between them all so that they can all take turns in printing out the cards and invitations that they have personalized and designed themselves. I think it is great to design things by yourself and then you can have a lovely personal touch.
I tried to do print your own wedding invitations when I got married but in the end I bought a nice blank card and then just printed out an insert to go inside it which suited us at the time. However, I do think, that with the increasing number of cards that people seem to be sending, getting some card stock paper and doing it yourself could save a great deal of money. Cards seem to be going up in price all of the time but by making them yourself you only have to pay for the raw materials and not the designers salary and the shop mark up.
